Family Surprises [Slide show]
As children, the most prized gifts we received from our father were his surprise sketches and paintings, often done on plywood cutouts, which put us in imaginary settings: rowing a small boat or floating in a shoe in the sea, playing instruments we did not know, riding a donkey, or playing snow man. The faces in these works are photographs, the rest is watercolor. He expressed his love for his children as well as his nieces and nephews through these playful works.
On this page you can view a selection of these family surprises. Click on the thumbnails on the left to see the paintings in a larger size, or click above to view a slide show.
